As part of an ever-expanding remit with one of the largest companies in the world, based in the Middle East, I am keen to speak to people whose experience focuses on the art of speechwriting.

The Speechwriter role sits in the company’s Executive Writers Group, part of the wider Media & Executive Communications Department. It is responsible for writing speeches, talking points, and video scripts for corporate and executive management, as well as correspondence and other written deliverables, covering a wide variety of subjects. Once established, you would be expected to support the Chairman, the President & the CEO as well.

Given the size of the company it is looking for people with experience writing speeches at the highest levels. If some of that is in a government or NGO capacity even better. In addition knowledge and understanding of the energy industry is highly desirable.

On a broader level the role will suit someone able to diplomatically engage, counsel, and influence senior executives. Ideally with a strong understanding of areas such as international relations, business, academia and technology.
